What is Dr. Woods’ annual concierge fee?
Dr. Woods charges a non-refundable annual fee of $1,800 per patient.
What does a concierge service provide?
In an era of non-physician encounters, and fifteen minute rushed visits, Dr. Woods spends quality, extended time with her patients and is available by phone and email after hours. She practices medicine the way it used to be practiced. She gets to know you and partners with you in a personal way toward optimizing your physical and mental health. The membership fee allows expanded access to Dr. Woods, same or next day visits, televisits, and prompt referrals to specialists as needed. The fee simply allows for a smaller practice with more individualized care.
Does the fee cover my annual physical?
The fee allows you to be part of Dr. Woods’ patient panel and includes your yearly physical. At the time of your physical we will submit the charge for the yearly physical exam to your insurance carrier and accept this payment as payment in full.
Does the concierge fee cover regular visits?
All visits will be billed to your private insurance company or to Medicare. Payment for visits are due at the time of service for patients with private insurance. Our billing department will submit all paperwork to your insurance company so that any reimbursement will be paid directly to you.
All fees are payable at the time of service.
Are concierge fees reimbursable?
No. Concierge fees are not covered by private insurance or Medicare. They are an out-of-pocket expense.
Are concierge fees refundable?
Concierge fees are non-refundable.
What if I choose not to join Dr. Woods’ concierge practice?
Unfortunately, you will need to choose another physician. Local hospitals- Suburban, Sibley, Georgetown, Shady Grove, or Holy Cross all have physician-finder services online or by phone. Your insurance provider may have a directory of participating physicians as well.
Does Dr. Woods Accept Medicare Patients?
Yes. Dr. Woods is accepting new Medicare patients in January 2025 as space allows. Please note the concierge fee.
Can I eat before my Physical lab work?
On the day of your physical lab work, please drink plenty of water and take any of your usual medications except for vitamins. You may have a piece of toast and black coffee, but no other food starting four hours prior to your visit. You may wish to bring a snack to eat after your blood work has been drawn.
What should I bring to my physical?
A list of current medications and their doses, including supplements, and over the counter medications. Please limit prior medical records to include last lab results, a copy of your EKG, any major hospitalizations, colonoscopy report, and vaccine history. Please bring your insurance card and photo ID.
Where can I find parking?
Our garage parking facility is accessible from Wisconsin Ave. across the street from Saks Fifth Avenue. Some patients choose to park at Saks Fifth Avenue and walk across Wisconsin Ave to our front entrance.
Are you Metro accessible?
Take the Red Line to the Friendship Heights stop. Walk 3 blocks north on Wisconsin Ave. Our building entrance is on the left.
How do I reach my doctor after hours?
After hours calls will be answered by the on call doctor. For non urgent correspondence Dr. Woods is available by email. For administrative matters such as medication refills please contact her assistant.
How do I get medication refills?
Please contact your pharmacy and they will contact us. If it has been more than a year since you have paid your concierge fee, we will request payment at that time.
